Winter Woodland in the Craft Village
12th - 24th December
Let Santa’s Elves guide you into the magical Winter Woodland at the Craft Village. An opportunity for you to relax with family and friends, create your own special gift decorations in the Christmas workshops, listen to stories in the Christmas Cottage and sing along with the Victorian Carol Singers, School Choirs, churches and communities who will be performing daily. A Christmas treat for everyone in the heart of the city centre.
Mayor’s Christmas Choral Festival at the Guildhall
12th December
Come along and enjoy performances by the City of Derry Civic Junior Choirs and the WELB Youth Orchestra of seasonal songs under the direction of Donal Doherty.
Festive Weekend
19th and 20th December
Relax and enjoy a family weekend before Christmas with free afternoon family events in the Craft Village, plus a Christmas Market on the City Walls on the 19th and a celebration musical concert in the Guildhall on the 19th, featuring a performance of Handels Messiah by Codetta, the City of Derry Youth Choirs with a 30-piece orchestra and soloists.
